Description: The QuietWood product line significantly reduces unwanted noise and sounds entering from exterior or adjacent rooms. QuietWood is a 3 to 5-layer acoustic isolation product. It is ideal for use in new construction or renovation projects. With some of the highest STC ratings anywhere, adding QuietWood to walls, ceilings, or floors will exceed your expectations in producing a quiet environment.

This product has one of the highest STC ratings (amount of sound isolation) of any interior wood system in the world. Each plywood/viscoelastic damping layer combination has an STC alone of 38. With two of these layers, plus a vinyl barrier (which has an STC of 26 alone), the NK-502 Quietwood ultra has an STC rating of 62 by itself (standard plywood is 20 by itself). Using NK-502 with typical construction, walls and floors can be easily constructed with finished STC ratings exceeding 75-80 and IIR ratings exceeding 70, depending on construction techniques.

It is ideal for use in new construction or renovation projects. With some of the highest STC ratings anywhere, adding QuietRock to walls or ceilings will exceed your expectations in producing a quiet environment. QuietRock is manufactured using USG SHEETROCK® MH Brand Gypsum Base Board.

This product has some of the highest STC ratings (amount of sound isolation) of any interior wall system in the world. Each plywood/viscoelastic damping layer combination has an STC alone of 42. With two of these layers, plus a vinyl barrier (which has an STC of 26 alone), the NK-521 has an STC rating of 64 by itself (standard drywall is 20-24 by itself).
