OEM End User Curtain Panels

IES IBSC Composite features a non-reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier septum (middle) with a quilted fiberglass sound absorber on both sides.  Ideally suited as an acoustical liner, the inner layer of quilted fiberglass decouples the barrier from the surface to improve its noise blocking ability while the outer layer adds sound absorption to the treated environment.

IES IBBC composite features a reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier with a quilted fiberglass sound absorber on one side.  The rugged durable exterior barrier is commonly used as a wrap or acoustical jacket due to its ability to conform to any shape.  The quilted fiberglass layer decouples the noise barrier to enhance its acoustical performance. Both styles are available in curtain panels, bound or unbound rolls, custom fabrications or die-cut pieces, in standard vinyl-coated-fiberglass-cloth facings, high-temp silicone facings or economy facings.

CUSTOM COMPOSITE QUIETS COMPRESSOR STATION

Tennesee Gas PipelineDiagram

Over 800 sound absorption/barrier panels in 50 different sizes line the interior of Tennessee Gas Pipeline's compressor station 254.

The composite, made up of quilted fiberglass and a 1 lb./sq.ft. barrier, would does double duty for Tennessee Gas by absorbing airborne sound waves and increasing the transmission loss ability of the building.  Leaks at the seams of the panels are prevented by using a velcro attached noise barrier batten.

Post-installation testing showed the solution performed better than the promised results. The noise level at the property line was reduced from 60dB(A) to 45dB(A).  5dB(A) lower than what was specified.  And while noise levels within the building were not as critical, Tennessee Gas officials were pleased the employees could now hold a conversation without shouting.

In addition, Tennessee Gas found that the light colored fabric facing dramatically improved the lighting inside the building.

LAGGING

Made to attach with velcro adhesive or mylar tape

    SS-105 - Acoustical Pipe & Duct Lagging

  • Available with a 1" or 2" quilted decoupler
  • Meets Class A flammability
  • Suitable for indoor or outdoor applications
  • Easy to cut and install
  • IES flexible lag series combines a loaded vinyl barrier with foil facing on one side. When a quilted fiberglass is added to the lag barrier it acts as a decoupler to form a tight fitting "floating" noise barrier.

INTERIOR WALL BLOCKER

IB-10 NR Noise Barrier

IB-10 NR is a flexible non-reinforced loaded vinyl barrier that is designed to stop the passage of sound through walls, ceilings, and floors.

 ·      Rolls are available 54”  wide up to 60’

·        Extremely easy to install

·        Limp, flexible, formable, versatile

·        High tear and tensile strength

Applications:

Typical uses include as a noise barrier in dry wall and stud construction to substantially improve transmission loss between rooms.  Also, utilized as a barrier septum material in acoustical curtain and foam composites.
